Carol Sue (Arthur) Edwards

Carol Sue Edwards, Age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17th at home in Collinsville, Oklahoma.  Carol was born on October 31st, 1946 in Decatur Illinois to Melvin Wallace Arthur Jr. and Evelyn Pauline Arthur.

Carol grew up in Bethany, Illinois where she graduated High School.  After graduation Carol went to work at AgriFab in Sullivan Illinois and then later worked at First United Methodist Church in Decatur.  Monty and Carol married on November 30th 1969 in Decatur Illinois, ten years later they had their only child, Kurt.  In the early 80’s the family moved to Collinsville, Oklahoma.  Carol worked for Enterprise School Photos for many years before finding her home at Wood Machine, and later retiring in 2016.  Carol’s hobbies included her pets, photography, and travelling. 

Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, Monty Edwards; a son, Kurt Edwards & wife Corine; 2 sisters, Nancy Wallace & husband Jim, Kathy Cothern & husband Don; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
