Laurie Marie (Hutchison) Hogan passed away in the early morning hours Sunday, March 4th surrounded by her loving children and sisters.
Born on October 28th, 1953 at Loring AFB, Maine, Laurie was born to Lt. Col. Philip and Ruth Hutchison, ten minutes before her identical twin, Linda. This large family with an eventual nine children, settled for good in Yuba City, California where Laurie graduated from Yuba City High School and Yuba Community College. Noted for beautiful voices, Laurie and Linda were accepted to travel with the international group "Up With People" in 1974 where they toured throughout the United States and abroad for one year.
During this adventure, Laurie met her future husband and life-long best friend, Michael. During their marriage, Laurie & Mike were blessed with their five beautiful children: Beth (Mike) Link (Lafayette, CO), Luke Hogan (Collinsville), Mary (Blake) Lawson (Tulsa), Paul (Sarah) Hogan (Sapulpa) and Kelly (John) Roselle (Tulsa).
Laurie and Michael settled in Collinsville, Oklahoma in 2006, welcoming eight grandchildren into the family over the years. During their marriage, Laurie and Mike shared their faith and musical gifts with their parish communities singing for Sunday masses as well as various other church occasions.
Laurie lived her life with the deepest desire to serve the Lord and draw others to Jesus. Not long ago, she gratuitously walked alongside her husband's journey to Our Lord. With this experience, Laurie lived to know all that truly mattered was getting to heaven, as well as loving and forgiving one another. We believe she passed away with a deep peace, knowing the love of God and that of her family.
Laurie was preceded in death by her husband Michael; her parents, Philip & Ruth Hutchison and her brother, Chris Hutchison. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her twin, Linda Linker (Tucson, AZ); brothers Jay Hutchison (Yuba City, CA) and Don Hutchison (Sparks, NV); sisters Barbara Chiono (Marysville, CA), Mary Button (Red Bluff, CA), Jane Hutchison and Joanne Dominiak (both of Yuba City, CA).
The Rosary and viewing will be Friday, March 9th, 8:30 pm at St. Therese Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 10th at noon. Burial and a reception will follow on the parish grounds.
