Leonard Paul Dick was born in Alluwe, Oklahoma, on May 24, 1926 to Mattie Catherine (Abel) and John Edgar Dick and was the youngest of their twelve children. He passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the age of 91 in Mannford, Oklahoma.

In 1944 he graduated from Alluwe High School and married Mildred Joyce Bains the following year. Together they had two children, Danny and Donna. In 1968, he married Virginia Girdner Moore and together they had two children, David and Yvonne.

Leonard was in the Marine Corps Reserve, held many jobs including managing the weld shop for Nelson Electric, selling welding supplies, and later a homebuilder. He enjoyed many years playing softball and became an excellent bowler even touring with the Masters Traveling league. An annual family reunion in Chelsea was a highlight as family was deeply important to him.

Music was in his blood and he treasured playing his guitar and singing gospel songs with relatives and friends. His passion was His Savior and he was beloved by his church friends that he ministered to and with for many years. His favorite Bible verse was Psalm 27:1.

Leonard suffered a stroke over four years ago and his daughter, Yvonne, lovingly took care of him in her home since then for which the extended family is incredibly grateful.

He is mourned by many including his wife Virginia, son Danny Dick (Ruth), daughter Donna Williams (Paul), son David Dick, and daughter Yvonne Brinker (Tug). His seven grandchildren: Bryan Dick (Angie), Kevin Dick, Lindsay Clyma (Jason), Heather Miller (David), Bryce, Sydney and Nate Brinker. His six great grandchildren: Hudson and Brady Dick, Haley Dick, Addison and Avery Clyma, and Harris Miller. And numerous family and friends.
