Taylor Addison Monroe

     Taylor Addison Monroe (aka: “The Boy”/ “Tay”) was born in Little Rock, Arkansas September 30th 1987.

     These 29 years, 4 months and 1 week of life encompassed laughter beyond words and devastating loss beyond comprehension.  What was filled in between these moments were times of someone who worried if you were okay, felt guilt even though there was nothing to feel guilty about, and laughingly used hundred dollar words when a ten cent one would work just as well. 

     A natural disaster that took the lives of two grandparents, an uncle, and his biological father didn’t harden or dull Tay.  But rather, it made his awareness of others pain and grief more heightened and alert.

    Regardless of any personal pain, Taylor had the rare ability to listen, and not just for the sake of responding.  This and his ability to turn a phrase by increasing a friend’s simple observations into memorable razor sharp wit set him apart as unique.

     Taylor’s 29 years, 4 months and 1 week had a great many rainy days, but the days when the rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the sun at last shined on his dimpled cheeks and sly grinning face were the days we remember and hold closest to all who knew him.
