Ruben Daniel Young

Ruben Daniel "Danny" Young, 50, died at 5:30pm on August 4th, 2015at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his untimely death.

Ruben was born in Lordsburg, N.M. He graduated with the class of 83 from Lordsburg High School. He was a proud member of the Lordsburg Marching Band. He is survived by his mother and longtime resident of Lordsburg, Mary Young. He left four children, Christina (Dodge City, KS), Stephanie (Roswell, N.M.), Ruben (Fort Worth, TX) and Kayla Young (Dodge City, KS.). Ruben also leaves five brothers, Gary (Lordsburg, N.M.), Robert (Las Cruces, N.M.), James (Tulsa, OK.), Mark (Lordsburg, N.M.), and David Young (29 Palms, CA). Ruben is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He will be remembered as a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed.

Ruben is preceded in death by the recent passing of his Father, Ralph K. Young (Lordsburg, N. M.). He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Julie and Mary Francis Young, and maternal and longtime Lordsburg residents, Bertha and Vicente Montez.

Ruben spent the last 10 years of his life living and working in Dodge City, Kansas. He worked in the accounting department for National Beef, a meat packing company. Ruben's friends and co-workers fondly remember him as a hard worker and a friendly face.

Ruben's Cremated remains will be interned Shakespeare Cemetery in Lordsburg at a future date. His remains will be entombed in a memorial bench that will be placed near the resting places of his beloved maternal grandparents, Vicente and Bertha Montez and his Father, Ralph Young
