Josephine Gilliam

Josephine was born May 26, 1956 in Vian, Oklahoma to Stella Lee and Nathaniel Brigs.  She graduated from Central High School, and worked as a housekeeper for many years.  Josephine was a very fun loving person, she loved to party with friends and family, she was a very blunt and outspoken person, but, her heart was full of love.

Josephine met and married Wayne Gilliam, Sr. and became a housewife and  bore three  sons, coupled with all Wayne’s other children they became a blended family.

Later she crossed paths with a life long friend, Billy (William Thompson) and he cared for her until her passing.

She was preceded in death by: both parents, husband Wayne Gilliam, Sons Wayne (Briggs) Gilliam and Richard Briggs, brothers James McLain, Robert and Richard Briggs.

Josephine is survived by: Son Jarod Gilliam (Shalonda) Eric, Marco, sisters Wanda McWayne, Ruby Morris, Kayla Jones, and Linda Minor, brothers Pete McLain, Eddie Wayne Briggs, Nathaniel Briggs, Willie James Briggs, Daniel Briggs and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
