Rhonda Ann Starkes (Galloway) transitioned the afternoon of March 22, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Michael Starks, four children , Sons Turrell Galloway and Cornelius Galloway, Daughters Yolanda Sheppard (Galloway) and Teleatha Galloway all of Tulsa, Ok., one aunt Mountedna Duffy (Galloway , one sister Gerline Bemore, two brothers Roy Galloway and Gary Galloway). She is preceded in death by her (father) Freddie Galloway, mother Elva Richardson (Walker), Terrieon Galloway ( grandson), Herman Galloway (son), Freda Gallowy, (sister), Carol Willis (sister), Charles Willis (brother), Junior Willis (brother). Rhonda also had a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rhonda was born February 20, 1959 to Freddie Galloway and Elva Walker in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rhonda attended McLain High School which later on in life met Michael Starks, they married on May 25, 2002. Rhonda became a waitress at the Delta café for twenty years and she owned her own window washing business for twelve years. She began to grow bonds and relationships in the surrounding areas of Oklahoma. Rhonda loved the Lord and she showed it by always helping people, even when she was sick she was still trying to help people anyway she could, even if it was just to make a phone call. She was also a provider for her brother, she was a woman who wore many hats loved on people and her children.
Some of her favorite sayings were, “I am a foxy young lady “ and also “I am the new 20”. As we bid farewell to this true pillar full of life and joy woman, remain with us are her memories, love and smile.
The Starks, Galloway ad Sheppard family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the out pouring of love , support and condolences during our difficult time, Your kind words and gestures of sympathy have been a source of comfort and strength as we navigate the loss of our beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, May each unique memory of Rhonda continue to bring smiles with the remembrance to love, serve others and to embrace great joy and laughter.
