Anthony Jerome Becknell, Sr.

On July 7, 1981, a healthy baby boy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the proud parents Tony Maurice Becknell, Sr. and Charlotte Becknell.  He was given the name Anthony Jerome Becknell.

Anthony attended East Central High School.  After school he worked at Luby’s as a butcher and a server until they closed.

After 36 seasons, Anthony Jerome Becknell moved “To his Mansion in the Sky”, on Wednesday, September 25, 2017 in Tulsa.  He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother’s, Jimmie Lee Ball and Ollie Mae Anderson, grandmother Erma Jean Griffin, grandfather Robert Lee Griffin and William Becknell, aunt Josie Mae Deshone, uncle Michael Andre Griffin Sr., niece Toniana Mauri-Jean Becknell and great u ncle Calvin Becknell, Sr. and cousin Leelee Arman Garrett.

Remaining to cherish his undying memory are his loving children:  Maddison Becknell, Anthony Becknell, Jr., Mallorie Becknell, Khalif Vann, Antonio Becknell and Aaron Becknell: his mother Charlotte Becknell and father Tony Becknell, Sr.; two brothers Dejuan Griffin, Tony Becknell, Jr., both of Tulsa, Oklahoma sister Chantella (Todd Doyle) Becknell of Johnson, Texas, seven aunts: Brenda Barnes , Cynthia Powell both of Texas, Deborah Griffin, Sharon Garrett Lakisha Barber, Willa Ball and Wanda Faye McDowell; six uncles, Melvin Becknell, Thomas Ball, Dewight Ball, Keith Becknell, Jimmy Griffin and Kevin Barber; two great uncles James (Jackie) Andersonand Jimmy Deshone;  grandmother Yvonne Berry and grandfather Bob Barber, along with a host of cousins and other family members whome he loved, and a very special friend Lisa McCoy
