Barbara Ellen Eubanks

Beloved daughter of Wayne and Devern Eubanks of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed on December 22, 2018 as a result of respiratory complications.

A native of Tulsa, Barbara was born at St. John’s Hospital on December 28, 1954.  Relocating to California with her parents in 1956, she attended Ford Elementary School in Fullerton and Sunny Hills High School.  When not reading to further her educational studies, you could find her at the piano reading musical notes and practicing.  As an amateur photographer, you might also find her snapping photos of friends, animals and sights that interested her.

She continued her education by earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminology.  Upon returning to Tulsa in 1984 she worked as a paralegal for law firms in the Tulsa area.

Other interests included various forms of handwork including crocheting hats for Veterans and the homeless.  Having a variety of pets as a child, she found time to care for her two dogs and two cats.

With the development of progressive respiratory problems she continued her thirst for knowledge and truth using various internet resources available to her.  Familiarity with the internet and interesting resources, her most recent endeavors included acting as a disc jockey for an internet radio program.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2002 and is survived by her mother, Devern; brothers James Dale of Claremore, Oklahoma and Stephen Wayne Eubanks and wife, Sandra of Prescott, Arizona; and her niece Julia Burgess and husband Austin of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Barbara was also Aunt to Deborah Strunk of Valpariso, Indiana; Robert (deceased) and Scott Eubanks of Prescott and as Great-Aunt to Jamey, Justyn, Jordyn and Jaycob Strunk of Indiana and Haylee and Preston Burgess of Tulsa.

Baptized at the First Baptist Church of Fullerton, California, A celebration of Life will be held at the Yale Avenue Christian Church.
