Debra Gail Brown, 61, passed away on July 10, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born to Charles and Patricia Roberson on December 15, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas where she lived for many years before relocating to the Dallas/Fort Worth area as an adult, and later to Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Susan Bern, grandparents; Geraldine Dunn and Sam C. Dunn, known to all as “Sweetheart Daddy.”

Debra was compassionate, open-minded, and generous. She had a passion for animals, and felt a duty to care for the ones most in need. This was evident by the many adopted pet children she offered a home to over the years, including her beloved dogs: Bear, Mikey, Sebastian, and Rusty, cats Kitty, Norman and Phillip, and countless others. Her generosity of spirit was not solely limited to animals. She cared deeply for people, and was a friend to many. She had an innate ability to see the best in someone, regardless of their circumstances or past. She believed in a loving God and always trusted in Him to light her path, in good times and in bad. Although she was not a person of wealth or great means, Debra would give her last penny to someone in need, as witnessed many times over the years. Debra loved going to the beach, enjoying music of all genres, reading, going for a swim at dusk, iced-tea, and fried chicken. Most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Debra is survived by her children: Micah Conway, Sara Conway, and Robin Spilman, siblings; Christine Roberson, Jerry and John Eastwood, grandchildren; Isaiah, Chloe, Mallory, Maverick, and Gideon, former spouse; Carlton Hollifield, and many more extended family and friends. She will always be remembered, loved, and greatly missed.
