Donald Elder Obituary

Donald (Cowboy) Elder passed away July 10, 2019 while battling cancer.  He passed peacefully at home with wife, Jennifer, and son, Denver.  He was 77 years old at his time of passing.

Don was born on October 20, 1941 in Bartlesville, Ok. He graduated high school in 1961, from Lenapah, Ok. Don was a supervisor at CRC-Evans and was employed there for 44 years.  During his time at CRC-Evans he was a mentor for many employees, some of which are currently employed at CRC-Evans now known as Stanley Black & Decker.  Don’s work ethics surpassed the common individual.  He also had a business raising and showing miniature horses for which he won many first-place ribbons.  He loved carpenter work and built two homes as well as helping build a church during his lifetime.  Don was a man who even though he hadn’t much time left was more concerned for those around him.  He was a proud hard-working man who loved animals and being outdoors.  He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, uncle and grandpa.

He will be remembered for his entertaining stories, beautiful smile and his willingness to help others.  Don will be missed by many whom he had the pleasure to meet.  We will forever hold him in our hearts and our memory.

Don is survived by his wife, Jennifer Elder; daughter and son-in-law, Justine and Bill Mc Intyre; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Carlos Andreo; stepdaughter and son-in-law Deana and Randy Detring; and son, Denver Powell; and his children, Donny Walker and Jodie Griffin. His grandchildren are Marissa Geneva, Megan McSperitt, Logan Brooner, Cody Powell, Chase Andreo, Gaby Andreo and Gage Brooner.  He has two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Jackson.  Close family members are Sammy, Holly, Hannah, Ethan and Noah Ehtisham; Chase, Jeni, Kellen and Eli McIntyre.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins including special niece, Lana Spencer and family and special nephew Rick Holland and family.
