John W. Medlock, 90, passed away March 11, 2018 peaceably in his sleep. He was born May 3, 1927 in Mulberry, Arkansas, Franklin County. He was a lifetime truck driver and Teamster Union member. He dropped out of school in the 8th grade to help on the family farm. He was married for 61 years to the love of his life, Patsy Medlock who passed away earlier. Also, preceded in death by son Johnny Wade Medlock, two grandsons, Andrew and Daniel Medlock, daughter-in-law Mary Medlock, three older sisters and two older brothers. Survived by daughter, Patte’ Myers (George) of Okla. City, son David Medlock of Owasso, daughter-in-law Arlene Medlock of Stigler, niece (little sister) Betty Sue Medlock Parker of Sand Springs, granddaughters, Kelly Medlock, Stephanie Harden (Jack), Amy Culbreath (Kenneth), Tami Walker (Dustin) Kim Huggins (Jeff) and grandsons Johnathan Medlock (Natalie), Patrick Medlock (Jennifer) and many loving great and great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends as he never met a stranger.
He was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church.
