Marjorie Jones- Longley Obituary

Marjorie Alene (Eaton) Jones – Longley

Marjorie Alene (Eaton) Jones – Longley 83, of Tulsa, passed from this life on Friday, July 20th, 2018 at 5:25A.M.  Marjorie was born September 5th, 1934 in Glenco, Oklahoma.  She was the Daughter of Denver Curtis Eaton and Elsie Mae (Hlavacheck) Eaton.  She was the eldest of 3 children, one sister and one brother.  Alene attended Lowell junior High School in the 1940’s and Central high School in the 1950’s.  Alene soon after married who as she always put it her “High School Sweetheart” Paul Rudolph Jones, on June 2nd, 1951.  Paul was her best friend and life partner.  She always said they were as the bible would say “One Flesh”, Paul passed away on December 15th, 2005 at 77 years of age.  They were married fifty-four and one half years.  Soon after they married Alene attended Draughon School of Business in Tulsa, Oklahoma and got her degree in a Secretarial course.  She graduated the course on December 22nd, 1953.

Alene enjoyed many things during her time on this earth, but most of all missed her one true love until the day she passed.  Most of Alene’s hobbies consisted of being outdoors, she truly enjoyed her flowers.  Some people that knew her well enough would say she loved them almost as much as Paul.  She loved to just sit and look at her flowers; even while she was ill.  She also enjoyed going to the movies.  Historical movies and a good comedy that could make her laugh were always her favorites.  Alene will always be remembered as the person who had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room.  She loved her family and they were very important to her.  She attended church regularly and believed that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior.  She lived by the bible and believed that one day we would all be together and well again.

Alene is survived by her brother Joe Eaton of Tulsa, Sister-in-Law, Ireatha Hammons and husband Dude Hammons of Claremore, Brother-in-Law, Cecil Jones of Okmulgee, daughter Rhonda Osterhoudt of Tulsa, son Jeff Jones and wife Charlotte Jones of Tulsa.  Six Grandchildren; Tina Martindale of Tulsa, Kyle Jones of Tulsa, Carly Pasquale and husband Jordan Pasquale of Collinsville, Eddie Phillips of Tulsa, Ethan Jones of Tulsa, and Andrew Jones of Tulsa.  She is also survived by two Great Grandchildren Britaney Martindale and Madison Martindale of Sand Springs, and three Great-Great Grandchildren, T J. Buckley, Cali Buckley and Easton Toothman.  She also had several Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.
