Mary Ruth (Wagner) Fuller

Florence Wagner along with 9 siblings.  She grew up in the Oklahoma City area where her father worked at the OKC Stockyards and later drove a truck for Superior Feeds.

She met and fell in love with Ray Dean.  She married him in 1944 at the age of 16.  Ruth and Ray had two children together, a son Kenny, and a daughter Judy.  Later she and Ray divorced.

 soon after she met and married James Ervin Fuller in 1958.  James worked as a paint and body man, a trade he would stay in the rest of his life.  A son came along in January 1959, James Jr.  The family moved to Tulsa in 1968.  Ruth was a devoted Christian, she loved music, served in her church as the Praise & Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher, led prayer meetings and Saturday visitations. She worked for over 40 years and in those years she always would do morning devotions.  She worked on assembly lines, shipping & receiving warehouses, in the mailing department at Oral Roberts University and later she went into homecare. 

While living in Claremore, OK, her greatest joy was working for the Belvedere Mansion. She along with her new found friends made the old landmark a must visit attraction.  She became curator of the mansion, giving tours to locals, travelers and tour buses for years.  She became a local celebrity and was featured in local newspapers, Good Morning Tulsa, a local news program and various city events.  She was vibrant and healthy until her early to mid 80’s. 

She eventually moved to Claremore Nursing facility where she lived out her life.   Residents and staff said she brought joy and encouragement to all who knew her.  Ruth went home to be with the Lord, whom she had made the center of her life, on January 8, 2019.  She passed peacefully in her sleep with her family around her.  Funeral services will be at Jubilee Worship Center located at 25 S. 161st E Ave., Tulsa, Ok.
