Willma Joyce Hammond passed from this life on May 22, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years. Willma was born September 9, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents Roy Jim Allen and Wilma Joyce Gentry. She was raised in Talala, Oklahoma where she attended Oologah public schools. She excelled in sports such as softball, and intercollegiate wrestling. Joyce was the catcher for the Oologah boy’s state baseball team. She was also the winner of the tough woman contest three years in a row.
Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked construction and pipeline along side her husband Doug and many family members. She loved camping, fishing, a good campfire and the outdoors. She was loved by everyone, a truly unique woman who never met a stranger. To know her was to love her. She helped raise a multitude of children throughout the years and would be the first to help someone without the need of recognition. The loss of Joyce has left a huge hole in our hearts and our family. She will be truly missed throughout the years.
Joyce is survived by her children Samuel Roy Brackett his wife Adrea, Thomas Allen Brackett his wife Donna, two grandsons, Noah and Pigeon, two granddaughters, Karleigh and Piper, her siblings, Roy Allen his wife Sherry, Connie Traylor her husband Jeff Brackett, Jim Allen his wife Carrie and Lonnie Allen his wife Robin. Joyce is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Jim Allen and Wilma Joyce Gentry Allen and her husband Doug Hammond.
