Amber was born in Tulsa, OK to Bradford (Brad) and Sabrah Smith. She was the youngest of three children, until the family grew through foster care and adoption. As a child, Amber was always energetic and strong. Amber was very active in gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, and cheerleading. Amber’s personality was generous, hilarious, and magnetic. Her confidence, happiness and humor entwined with her intellect made her a joy to be around. She had a heart for caregiving and people with special needs. It was her gift. One way this gift showed was through her love of nursing. She earned her BSN at Langston University. Her first love and passion were her children and extended family. She loved traveling, especially to the lake and the beach.
