Beulah White

Beulah Marcella White passed from this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at her residence in Oologah, Ok.  She was born on July 21, 1924 to Dick & Ida Stroud in Willow Springs, Mo. The family moved to Bartlesville, Ok, shortly after and she attended school there.  On May 2, 1952 she married C. K. “Red” White.  The couple operated a filling station in Oologah and Beulah worked for Texaco Oil Co.  Later, they moved to Red’s family’s home place near Talala and raised their children, daughter, Donna and son, Chuck.  Beulah became a stay at home mom and Red went to work for Rogers County, District #2.  Upon his retirement, the couple traveled extensively and often.  They happily took along granddaughter, Jessica Gering, on many trips.  The three of them had so much fun and made countless memories along the way. 

After Red passed in 2002, Beulah remained on the home place, (blowing & going) until 2018 when she moved into an apartment in Oologah.  After a time, it became apparent she needed some daily help.  She was blessed with Esther Leach.  Esther became not just a caregiver, but a trusted and loved friend, who made sure each day contained laughter, singing and lots of good conversation.  In 2019, Beulah got another big blessing with the birth of great granddaughter Brynn Elizabeth Sneed.  Brynn was a constant source of joy and main topic of conversation.  Her pictures dominated the décor in the apartment.  She was the light of Beulah’s life these last 18 months.

Beulah is survived by daughter, Donna, granddaughter, Jessica and great-granddaughter, Brynn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leonard and Laverne, son, Chuck and husband, Red.  Her final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery in Talala.  Reynolds Funeral Service in Collinsville is handling the arrangements.  The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Oklahoma Heart Institute and Seasons Hospice for the excellent care they provided Beulah in her final days.
