Charles “Rodger” Thompson was born on October 18, 1952 at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to parents Charlie and Alice Thompson. Died as he lived on his own terms on September 13, 2021. Survived by his wife of 49 years Suzanne “Suzie” Thompson, sons Chuck and Joe Thompson, Brother Deryl Thompson, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He came to Oklahoma in 1972 for a summer job doing landscaping and never left. The outdoors was his God. He loved everything about nature and outdoors, avid hunting enthusiast, and even preferred being in the woods to being around people. He will be missed.
No public services will be held. There will only be a very private scattering of his ashes.
