David Schuler Weatherman

David Schuler Weatherman passed from this life on January 16, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 69 years of age. Born October 14, 1952 to Barney L. and Lillian Schuler Weatherman in Ft. Hood, Texas, he lived the majority of his life in Tulsa, OK graduating from McLain High School with the Class of 1971. David met his wife, Denise (Hughes), while working at Mattoon Moving and Storage in 1979 and they were married on February 12, 1982. David spent much of his time either fishing at Ft. Gibson Lake or hunting in Sedan, KS with his family and friends. He loved all of his “kids” – multiple generations of nieces and nephews, friends’ kids, Denise’s youth group kids and/or her camp kids. Everyone referred to him as either “Brother Dave” or “Uncle D” and he always had a hug and a smile for everyone he met – nobody was a stranger to David. David was pre-deceased by both of his parents, Denise’s parents Jerry and Norma Hughes, brother-inlaw Tom Hughes and grand-niece Ilah Marie Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Denise, of the home; two brothers and their wives - Dan and MaryAnn Weatherman of Columbia, SC and Randall and Jackie Weatherman of Chouteau, OK; Denise’s sisters and brother in law – Deborah Hughes of Tulsa, OK and Doreen and David Edmundson of Norman, OK; sister-in-law JoEtta (Tom) Hughes of Tulsa, OK; nieces Liz (Robert) Joyce, Stephanie (Danny) Collins, Rachel Weatherman, Hali Simmons, Megan Edmundson (Kyle Swinford), Amanda Edmundson, Taylor Hughes (fiancée Bradley Borger); nephews Brian Weatherman (Casey Davis), Joseph Weatherman, Greg (Kristen) Edmundson, Kyle (Teya) Hughes; grand niece Kirstin (Alex) DeCamp, Gracie Collins, Tempi and Hadlee Edmundson, Mackenzie Hughes; grand-nephews Colton Fisher, Michael Collins, Oakley Simmons, Zachary and Nicholas Weatherman; and great-nephew Oakley DeCamp; Denise’s uncles and their wives Denney and Sharon Hughes of Fairview Heights, IL and Ron and Carol Hughes of Howell, MI; and a plethora of cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 to 3:00 at The Lodge at Bridal Creek, 5811 Roper Road, Sperry, OK 74073.
