Donna Ashlock

Donna Ashlock was born on August 2, 1952 in Holdenville, OK to Oran Laverne Mayfield Baxter and Arvel Lee Baxter, she passed away surrounded by the love of her family on January 12, 2021 in Owasso, OK.

Donna is preceded in death by both parents, Oran Laverne Mayfield Baxter and Arvel Lee Baxter. She is survived by three sons and 7 grandchildren, Dr. Justin and Bethany Ashlock and 4 children, Rylan Ashlock, Abigail Kubien, Brady Ashlock, and Ella Ashlock of Owasso, OK, Waco Ashlock and 2 children, Nicholas and Natalie of North Carolina and Dr. Cale Ashlock and 1 child, Emery Findahl of Tulsa, and her sister, Kay Baxter of Tulsa, OK. 

Donna grew up in Holdenville, OK and moved to Tulsa, OK with her parents, Oran Laverne and Arvel Lee in her younger years, she is a graduate of Daniel Webster High School Class of 1972. Donna grew up riding horses and training dogs alongside her father for many years. The best part of Donna’s life besides being “Noni” to her grandchildren was raising her boys and being married to the love of her life, Daniel Ray Ashlock. 

Donna’s greatest joys in life were her three boys and grandchildren, she proudly told every single person she met about them and their accomplishments. Donna also had a love for animals and if you knew her, you knew her favorite thing to do was give every animal she met “sugar on the lips”, as she would jokingly say. Donna adopted all kids as her grandchildren, she would happily hug and give each child a kiss on the forehead or eyeball as they ran through Justin and Bethany’s house during the years that she lived with them. 

Friends and family of Donna will tell you she loved big and was the most unique and vibrant person they knew; strangers were always drawn her humor and welcoming personality. Donna will be missed by many and has left a lasting impression on all that loved her.
