Walker, Harlan Jesse, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 10 in Broken Arrow, OK. Born May 23, 1939 in Branson, Missouri to Floyd Arthur and Hazel Alice Walker. In 1958, he graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the Air National Guard Reserves for seven years. He moved to Dallas, TX in the early 60’s where he was an architectural delineator, and artist. In the 70’s, he started a fragrance company with a men’s cologne named after himself. “Harlan” cologne was in many upper-end department stores. In the 90’s, Harlan moved back to the Tulsa area to be a care giver for his mother. His favorite pastime was to paint beautiful pictures. Harlan loved to make us and his friends laugh, and we all will miss him tremendously.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Walker. He is survived by his brother Gene Walker and wife, Susan; nieces, Terri Patrick and husband Glenn, Charissa Reece and husband Steve, and his nephew Don Walker and wife Sonia; Six great nieces and one great nephew; and many great-great nieces and nephews, and friends.
