Henry LaCroix II Obituary

Henry (Hank) Stephen LaCroix of Tulsa, Oklahoma, born December 5, 1948, to Henry and Carlie (Ellis) LaCroix, played his final chord at 69 years old on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones.

Hank is survived by his son Anthony (Tony) LaCroix, daughter Stevi (LaCroix) Tsaras, wife Victoria (Viki) LaCroix, sister Kathryn (Kathy) (LaCroix) Hughes, aunt Mable Ellis, grandsons Kevin Tsaras, Anthony LaCroix and Leon (Trechi) Rademacher, granddaughter Rachel Rademacher, great granddaughter Marley Rose Tsaras, stepsons Russell Boren, Randy Boren and Robert Boren, Viki’s children, Victoria Morressy, Eric Roth, Adrienne Mendoza, Anthony McKay and Nathan Roth and countless dear friends who filled Hank’s life with fellowship and love.  Hank loved each of them dearly.

Hank’s unquenchable passion in life was music.  From the time Hank first picked up a guitar at 16 years-old, he discovered an awakening in his soul and sparked a fire inside him that would never be quenched.  So much so, he made the decision to let his love for football and his beloved horse Lundy take a back seat in his life, so he could focus only on his music.  Hank’s God-given talent blossomed into mastering the guitar, singing, and writing countless songs (collaborations and solo) and playing the banjo, harmonica, fiddle, piano and bass.  Just about any instrument he touched, he could play.

Hank was a member of several bands, traveled to numerous places for his music and spent a great deal of time as a one-man band at several notable establishments in Tulsa.  In between gigs, he spent time writing music, teaching music and repairing pianos; he also surveyed for many years.

Hank imparted his love for music into the hearts of all of his children, grandchildren and friends.  Hank also loved the outdoors, adventurous foods and could be quoted stating a hamburger was the ideal food as it contained all the food groups.  But, most importantly, Hank loved the Lord with all his heart.

As each of us gather here in celebration of Hank today, we can take comfort that now he is healed, whole and singing before Father God in heaven above. Can’t you just hear him?
