Jack William King was born 8 February 1949 to John Barton “JB” and Virginia (Dickson) King in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Leaving this world on 3 February 2024 at the home he shared with his wife of over 20 years, Carol Stone King.
He attended Oklahoma State University, majoring in mechanical engineering, though he left prior to graduating. He remained a proud Cowboys fan.
Jack was an automobile mechanic, spending the majority of his career as a well respected BMW Master Technician. He took great pride in the exceptional quality of his work, known for his honesty and integrity, with a loyal following.
He was active in the motorcycle community in Tulsa, being Life Member #9 of ABATE of Oklahoma. He held a number of positions, including Chapter President, in the Tulsa Chapter during the 40 years of his membership, where he was held in high esteem.
Jack was diagnosed with merkle cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, over 2 years ago. He returned home from skilled nursing on the 25th of this past January, following brain surgery, where he was cared for by his wife, a retired LPN.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jack is survived by wife, Carol, his brother Gary L. (Irene) King of Tulsa, a number of cousins and many friends.
