James Harrison Fugate, Sr.

James Harrison Fugate, was born July 21, 1935 in Oologah, Oklahoma to Todd Anderson and  Helen Pauline Fugate.  He passed away at his home, November 1, 2021 in Collinsville, Ok.

He was preceded in death by his parents Todd and Pauline Fugate, his wife Jean Ann Fugate, two sons, Richard Dwayne Fugate and James Harrison Fugate, Jr.

James is survived by his four siblings, Lily Minks, Deloris Hayes, Lee Fugate and Helen Davis and husband Gary.  Two children, his son Bobby Fugate and wife Debbie of Owasso, OK, daughter Pam and husband Bobby also of Owasso, Ok. Eight grandchildren, Jessica Altom and husband Eddie, Blake Milliken, Trish Thomas and husband John, Kyle Shook and wife Alyssa,  Oliver Williams, Brooks Schauffler and husband Barry.  Thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.  James grew up in Talala, Ok and graduated from Oologah High School in 1953.  He made his home in Collinsville, OK.  He  was a self-employed heavy equipment operator.  As a young man he enjoyed taking his family camping, going skiing on the lake and hunting with his boys.  He was loved for his wit and humor.  He was stubborn and full of orneriness, but never passed up the chance to help.  Anyone that knew James, knew he had a big mouth, but an even bigger heart.
