Marilyn Jean Isom Taulbee, born in Ft. Gibson, Ok on August 5th,1947 to Howard and Bettye Isom and passed April 20th, 2023 at the age of 75.
Marilyn grew up in Ft. Gibson and attended Ft. Gibson Public Schools. She was a majorette in the band, played clarinet, saxophone and was a twirler, sang in chorus and an officer in FHA. She graduated high school in 1965, went on to Northeastern State University twice, receiving masters +30 in speech and language pathology. She taught in Missouri and Tulsa and retired in 2009. Marilyn enjoyed her family more than anything and always wanted everyone to be happy. She was very proud of her daughters and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them immensely. She loved reading, playing word games, shopping and good food.
She married Jimmy Taulbee on June 6th, 1970. They were married for 52 years when he passed in November 2022. Marilyn leaves behind her daughters, Jennipher Keim and husband, Mike, of Owasso; Melissa Fisher and husband, Rick, of Oologah; grandchildren, Nate Keim, Ramsey Keim, Madisyn Fisher, Molly Fisher, Cale Fisher; her sister Kimberlee Isom of Muskogee; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Gwen Taulbee of Leesville, South Carolina; and several cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom she cared for greatly. She was our mother, sister, nana, aunt, cousin, friend and will forever remain in our hearts and be deeply missed.
Services are set for
Wednesday, May 3rd at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church in Fort Gibson, Ok.
