Rietta (Harrison) Moore

On February 22, 1948, a beautiful baby was born in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma , and they named her Rietta.  She was 4th of 11 children.

Rietta attended Eastern Star Elementary School before moving to Tulsa in 1956,  and continued her education at Charles S Johnson, Carver Junior high School and B. T. Washington and graduated in 1964.  She also attended Tulsa Junior College and graduated with an Associates Degree.

Rietta met and married Louie D. Moore in 1963 and there were two children born to this union.  She joined Galilee Baptist Church in June of 1960 and worked throughout the church.  Rietta loved to sing and was a member of Young Adult and Adult choirs.  Young Adult Director of North West Creek District, Youth Director at Galilee, WMU President, Sunday School Instructor, Bible School Director and Church Clerk. 

She worked at B. P. Amoco where she worked in Secretarial Field for several years and moved to computer repair and Help Desk Analyst before having to retire because of medical reasons.

She leaves to mourn one son Darryl Moore (Karen) of Tulsa, one daughter Denise Moore of Nashville, Tn., four grandchildren, Jasmine Manuel, Houston, Texas, Jasmine Moore, Nashville, Tn,  Joseph Winters, Tulsa, Ok., Jada Moore, Tulsa, Ok; one great granddaughter one brother David Calvin McLemore, Denver, Co.; four sisters Joyce Love, Fayetta Williams, Patsy Harrison and Carolyn McElroy all of Tulsa, Ok. one aunt Rutha Wortham of Oklahoma City, Ok and a hose of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rietta was preceded in death by her parents; J.W.  and Rachel Harrison, step father A. D. Royal, four brothers, Grover Don, Luther Brewer, Clifford McElroy and William McLemore, one sister Linda Kay McElroy and one aunt Murlene McDaniels.
