Roger Carroll Overholt

Roger Carroll Overholt was born in Middleville, Michigan on Feb 18, 1938 to Myron Overholt and Clara (Davis) Overholt. 

He passed away on April 26, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85. 

In his last days, he was surrounded by his loving family.

Roger grew up and attended school in Caledonia, Michigan where he excelled in multiple sports, graduating in 1956 from Caledonia High School.  After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served the majority of his three years in London, U.K.

In 1964, he met and married Loretta Mae Ratliff in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1969, they had their first of four boys while living in Flint, Michigan. 

While working as a journeyman lineman in 1977, now with three sons, Roger accepted a job in Oklahoma as an estimator for an electric utility contractor in the Tulsa area. After scouting surrounding areas, they chose 

Collinsville as home. 

In 1979, they welcomed their fourth son who was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ray, Donnie, and Ronnie Overholt as well as sister Lucy Overholt Long. 

He is survived by his wife, Loretta; 

sons Brad Overholt and wife Shannon of Collinsville; 

Greg Overholt and wife Becky of Collinsville; 

Chet Overholt and wife Lisa of Tulsa; 

Ryan Overholt and wife Nicole of Collinsville; 

and thirteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
