Shirley Ann (Strickland) Tubby

Shirley Ann (Strickland) (Jackson) Tubby age 76, went home to the Lord on March 17th, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK after a long struggle with illness.

She was preceded in death by her father, Garett Strickland and mother, Bonnie Lockmiller. brothers JG Strickland, Melvin Strickland, and Darrell Strickland, and 1niece
and 1 nephew. She is survived by her husband, Ed Tubby, and grandson Hunter Jackson of the home. She is also survived by her son Steven Jackson, stepdaughters Cindy Tubby and Melissa Thomas and stepson Kevin Tubby. She is also survived by her sisters Lavelta Wilkinson and Bonita Sutton and brother Gary Strickland. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 nieces and 2 nephews.

Shirley was a Bank Officer at Northside State Bank, when the bank was sold she retired to stay at home to take care of her family. The customers really enjoyed her attention to detail and kind helpfulness.

She was a cub scout leader for over ten years. Working with the boys and their families brought her much joy and happiness.
Shirley has an exceptionally kind and loving spirit. That spirit is now with the lord. She was always generous, loving, and kind to those that needed help from her; no matter if they were family or just a friend. She was always eager to bring joy to those around her.

Shirley found the lord in the lap of her grandmother, Estella Agnes Rich, at a very early age.
