Valerie Elizabeth Gutierrez

Valerie Elizabeth Gutierrez passed from this life on Thursday, February 20 , 2020. She was 22 years old having been born in TULSA; OK to Jesus and Elizabeth Gutierrez on August 15th,1997. Valerie attended Mayo Elementary, Thoreau Middle School and Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa. She was a straight-A student all through school. Valerie wanted to be a nurse and had been attending nursing school at the TCC, later on she went to study vision at TTC. Her goal in life was to be able to care for people. She was a diligent worker and would accept nothing less than excellence at everything she did, while both working and attending classes.

When they were young Valerie was a “little mamma” to her brother Jonathan even though Jonathan was a year older.  As a young girl Valerie was a “daddy’s girl,” going everywhere with Jesus. When she got older, she and Elizabeth were more than mother and daughter. They were best friends. Valerie loved to take pictures. She loved to capture sunsets and the essence of people in her pictures. She also lay to just hanged out and relax with Sammy by her side.

Valerie was selfless and thoughtful, a great caregiver.  When she gave a gift, she gave it a lot of thought, and it came from her heart.  She was very shy and timid, but at the same time her dry sense of humor could crack up a room.  Her dream was to have a big house with a little house in the back for Jesus and Elizabeth where they could be with the babies she was going to have. Valerie was truly a special girl

Valerie was survived by her parents Jesús Martín Gutierrez , Elizabeth Gutierrez, brother Jonathan Gutierrez and her boyfriend and love of her life Sammy Sanchez from Tulsa, OK. Her Aunt Olga Crutcher and uncle Stan Crutcher, cousins Cassey and Laith Elothman from TULSA, OK. She was also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Mexico and throughout the USA. Her Godparents Estevan Torres y Olivia Ochoa from Tulsa, OK.
