Christine Ruby Hobbs

Christine “Cricket” Hobbs entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God sustained her throughout her life.

Ms. Hobbs was born on October 25, 1925 in Gore, Oklahoma to Bush and Agnes Goins. She attended school in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She married Vernon Hobbs on June 29, 1944. They were blessed with 3 children, John, Linda and Janet. She received great joy in caring for her family. Ms. Hobbs resided in Tulsa for most of her life. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Church for many years. She loved socializing and making new friends. Her wonderful smile and personality could light up any room. She made a great impact on everyone who was blessed to know her. She will be greatly missed.

Ms. Hobbs is survived by her son, John Hobbs and wife Glenda, of Calumet, OK; her daughter, Linda Hobbs, of Wagoner, OK; her daughter, Janet Miller and husband Terry, of Tulsa; 6 grandchildren - Lori Shaffer, Christy Hobbs, Mike Hobbs, Cathy Hobbs, Kelly Hobbs, and Daniel Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving friends. Ms. Hobbs is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bush Goins, Jr.; her sister, Lucille Meadows; and a step-sister, Mae Cecil. 

Ms. Hobbs’ life will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 at Nick Reynolds Funeral Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest at the Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
