Arthur "Frank" Buttler

Arthur "Frank" Buttler - Born February 18th, 1933 in Morris, OK, to Frank Lee and Emma Rose Buttler. Frank passed away in his daughters home which sat on the property that he had lived on for 47 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Diane Buttler of Collinsville, Ok. Three Grandchildren, Andrew C. Nguyen, Thomas D. Nguyen and Jennifer D Adams. Two Great Grandchildren, Josslin Nguyen and Julian Nguyen. Three brothers, Robert Buttler, Jerry Buttler and Paul Buttler, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Ann Buttler, a Son, Herman Lee Buttler, his Parents, Frank Lee and Emma Rose Buttler, brothers Jesse Buttler, Fred Buttler, Ralph Buttler and one sister Erma Dean Buttler.
Frank joined the Army in 1951 and served till the Korean War ended in 1953. He received the Ambassador of Peace Medal from the Patriots and Veterans affairs, Republic of Korea from General Se Hwan Park, ROK Army Chairman, Korean Veterans Association. He was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Army.
When Frank returned home from the Korean War, he moved to San Bernadino, California where he worked for ten years with Rohr Aircraft Company in Riverside, California. He left California and returned back to Oklahoma and was employed by McDonald Douglas Aircraft Co for 25 years and retired from there as well. During retirement he began his own used Lawn Mower shop where he repaired, restored and sold used lawn mowers. He did this until his health no longer allowed him to do so anymore.
He was married to Deloris Ann (Tackett) Buttler for 59 years and lived in Collinsville on two acres for 47 years.
Frank loved to visit Branson, Mo. and did so frequently with his daughter. Some of his favorite attractions and shows were "Mickey Gilley", "The Presleys", "The Baldnobber Review", "Silver Dollar City", "Dixie Stampede" and "Ride The Ducks"! He enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling and being with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

I want to thank everyone for your love, support, acts of kindness, messages, and phone calls. A very special thank you to "Seasons Hospice" for diligently making my Father feel cared for, loved and most of all comfortable. He had a beautiful transition from this world into Heaven and one day, we will be together again!
